Borrow an Empire Pass, free
Your local library lends the New York State Empire Pass. It covers vehicle entry at state parks, and it's free with your library card — which means no entrance fees at most of the parks, arboretums and beaches we walk.
Come as you are
Any pace, any book, any format. Audiobook, podcast, music, or nothing at all. Most people arrive on their own the first time.
What to bring
Headphones, water, and shoes you can put a few miles on. Beach and boardwalk walks can be windy — check the forecast before you head out.
